napowrimo day 24: ekphrasis

Should I never,
turn and,
attack.

I’d walk even further,
with your breath,
at my back.

I would run,
from you,
forever.

See everyone,
reach everything,
faster.

Though I would,
see things,
more clearly.

Should I stop,
leaving so,
quickly.

Would I meditate,
stop wishing,
stop yearning?

Shed burdens,
start listening,
start learning?

How can I know
where I’m going
looking back?

Shouldn’t I
turn and
attack?

napowrimo day 21: words overheard

The trees will whisper of,
the river as she’s singing.
But the wind is full of words,
and makes no time for listening.
The mountains tend to hear her,
but they don’t understand.
For what concerns the water,
is much different from the land.
The forest sometimes wonders,
but won’t dwell on it for long.
The meaning of her song?
To be missed when she is gone.
