Soul Homes

Too often have you
Looked into the eyes
Of a liar
And thought them windows
To a kindred soul

But their homes were empty
And all that you found
Was yourself, reflecting
In their tears as they siphoned
The seeds from your chest

So sweetly laid bare
As a ripe pomegranate

And how often I know that you will

Because beyond
All scares and probability
Your house remains full
And your heart
Overflowing
